Kärin grew up in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. A wild child at heart, she spent the majority of her childhood riding horses, hiking, camping, swimming, and climbing trees. This non-traditional upbringing empowered her to chase her dreams wherever they may lead her. Today, she lives in Bali.
Kärin is a certified yoga instructor and massage therapist. In 2014, she obtained her massage degree from the Costa Rican School of Massage Therapy. After diving into the world of natural healing, she quickly received her first 200-hour yoga teacher certification in Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon graduation, she immediately moved back to Costa Rica to begin her teaching career.
Karin then decided to attend another 200-hour yoga teacher training with the Peaceful Warriors in Bali. Deeply interested in the body and different cultures’ approaches towards healing, she continued her holistic training in Pai, Thailand where she acquired her 150-hour certification in Thai massage.
Kärin has traveled and worked all over the world, spending her last few years traveling to places where she can surf while deepening her understanding and appreciation for yoga. She currently lives and works in Bali where she has found a healthy balance between the sea and the studio. When she isn’t practicing yoga, Kärin enjoys surfing, cooking kale pancakes, and eating peanut butter by the spoonful.
Kärin believes that everyone benefits from a practice and that it is never to late to dive in. She loves to share her passion for yoga and to help others find and develop their own relationships with movement.
