This training is not just for Yoga Teachers, but for anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of meditation.

However, this training seeks to redress the balance and introduce meditation to you as a way of exploring the limits of what it means to be you (hint hint: there are (NO LIMITS).
While there are many forms of meditation one can train in, this training introduces three of the primary strands of practice, namely:
• Mindfulness Meditation
• Somatic Meditation
• Yogic Meditation
Each stands alone, but is even more potent when brought together into a complete regime.
Not only will you learn the most important aspect, that is how to actually engage in these practices, but you will also be trained in how to teach these practices to others, spreading the joy far and wide!

During The 25 Hour Meditation Immersion & Teacher Training we will cover the basic philosophy of the Yoga Sutra, an ancient text dealing almost entirely with the mind and how to attain ever deeper states of meditation, alongside the teachings on mindfulness taught by the Buddha, with a large range of complementary approaches, ranging from the Chan Master Hongzhi to the modern field of neuroscience.
The course includes daily Hatha Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation Practices. And during daily workshops and lectures we will dive deeper into the following topics:
• The History of Meditation
• The Breath in Meditation
• The Benefits of Meditation
• The real potential of Meditation
• Yoga Nidra
• Building your own meditation practice
• Learning how to teach meditation
• Contemporary Meditation Practices - application and benefits e.g. increase creativity, performance and productivity, increase focus, reduce stress and pain, control anxiety and depression, emotional balance, hormone balancing, balance the nervous system etc. )
During this training you will get to explore over 20 different meditation techniques, covering but not limited to the below mentioned techniques / strands of practice:
• Mindfulness: Shikantaza (Pure Awareness Practice), Mindfulness of Breathing (Anapanasati), Development of Positive Emotion (Metta Bhavana/Brahma Viharas/Loving Kindness Meditation) and Self Inquiry Meditation
• Somatic Meditation: Working with the Internal Space of the Body, Skull Breathing, Earth Breathing and Body Scans
• Yogic Meditation: Aurobindo Method, Chakra Dharana (Chakra Meditation), Krishna's Meditation Instructions, Yoga Nidra, Mantra Meditation and Visualisations
Bernd has been throwing himself wholeheartedly into the deep waters of daily, dedicated yoga practice since the very beginning of 2001. Coming originally from the performing arts in various guises, he finally allowed the stage life to fade and the yogic life to come into deeper focus. Being drawn, from an early age, toward seeing, understanding and exploring life in its fullness and entirety, he works with the tools of asana, pranayama, meditation, and study in order to plumb the depths of experience. His aim as a teacher is always to give each student exactly what he or she needs at any given time, which has led him to learn as much as possible about different modalities of movement, meditation and philosophical approaches.
Bernd has an abiding passion for helping to ease the suffering of others, which has led him down the path of yoga for therapeutic uses as well as yoga as a path toward ultimate freedom and truth. Over the years, he has gathered tools in his own practice and in his teachings from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Yoga, the yogic approach to therapy, as well as a thorough and continuing education in philosophies of all shapes and sizes. The massive variety of meditation practices and traditions are a deep passion for Bernd, and he relishes the opportunity to practice and pass on these wonderful teachings.
Expect to be challenged in his classes, but never pushed; thrown into the deep end, but always with a paddle, and always with kindness and care.
This training is certified with Yoga Alliance (YACEP) and upon completion you will receive a Yoga Alliance Certificate as a Meditation Teacher and Facilitator, so you will be accredited to teach meditation around the world.

How does the online course work?
The course is all completed online. There are modules for you to work through at your own pace, along with a manual and recorded lectures, videos & audio files. You can log into the course whenever you have time to work on it! Upon completion, there are assignments to check for understanding to submit to an instructor. All work will be returned to you with feedback and suggestions.
After it has been approved, you’ll receive your PDF certificate.
How long do I have to complete the course?
The course is self-paced, you can take as long as you need! We recommend trying to finish within 6 months to 1 year so the information stays fresh in your mind.

I’ve been practicing yoga with Bernd for a long time now and he is always one of my top recommendations to anyone who’d like to know not only the physical practice, but the history, philosophy and all the reasons behind the yoga practice. His vast knowledge of traditional scripts gives him a unique ability to skilfully guide his students through practices like breathing and meditation. It forced me dive into myself & is helping me to begin to establish a relationship between my physical body, my mind and my soul.
Some days I thought were “rock bottom” ... but it only made me realize that was part of the journey, the journey of trusting myself of becoming my own “hero” the person who I’ve always been but have never really trusted! All these “things” I see as signs from the universe telling myself to trust ME to believe in ME and to hear ME ... to L O V E me as I am and accept all the little “flaws” that comes with being a human and all.
But I couldn’t have done it without all these beautiful souls, these magical humans who were always there to listen to just “one more story” of why “I’m crying right now” or to give me some ibuprofen when my muscles ached or to pay for a cab ride back to the hotel when I didn’t have any more cash on me and didn’t sweat it cause “it happens to all of us” or that person who believed in me more than I did when I finally landed that “tri-pod headstand” and says “I told you, you could do it!” Or that person who held my hand while I got stitches for the first time & for that I’m so thankful to you all ♥︎ .
if that weren’t enough the universe blessed me with some great teachers. So knowledgeable while being so understanding when we were faced with feeling frustrated. Teachers Who would stay 15 (or more) minutes after a two hour lecture or practice making sure they answered all our questions ... & to our yoga philosophy teachers who knew some subjects were hard & uncomfortable and gave us time to absorve it all and were understanding if we (me) shed a tear and needed a moment to ourselves. To put the last month into words is impossible, to put into feelings is impossible and to put into emotions is even more impossible.
When I signed up for my yoga teaching course I genuinely didn’t expect so learn so much about myself, I didn’t expect to open my heart and open my mind as much and sure as hell didn’t expect to open my tear ducts as much.
I think I’m still trying to process, or even being to process the learnings and new ways of thinking. So from here, the learnings & new practices have only began. From here, I’m nervous for a new future and from here all I can say is fuk yes.

It’s official, completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training with @thepeacefulwarriorsyoga. Without sounding cliché, this journey was life changing. When we think of yoga we often only think of the physical practice, poses, turning oneself into a pretzel! It’s the western way of thinking, and we forget about the connection to the mind and soul. We forget that yoga is also about the breath, meditation, energy systems and the power of what this connection can bring to our lives. I am full of gratitude! I have found a deeper purpose from this journey and I look forward to what lies ahead to help others live a more healthy, and meaningful life.
To all my teachers Bente, Maria, Sean, Rachel, Analu, Magdalena thank you for inspiring me, I have a light inside that is shining brighter then ever!
